Around twenty-five thousand households in Queensland's southeast woke up without power on Monday morning after intense storm systems swept through the area, generating strong winds hitting 109km/h.
Large Hailstones and Extensive Impact
Locals observed large ice chunks as large as seven centimeters in certain regions. The Bureau of Meteorology announced that various areas across Queensland had been affected by large hailstones.

Utility workers were working to restore power throughout the impacted areas, with approximately seventy teams activated to handle the numerous electricity disruptions.
Victoria's Weather Woes
Meanwhile, nearly one thousand residents in the southern state also faced electricity disruptions after Melbourne saw its most precipitation in a year and a half.
Emergency response teams received nearly 600 calls for help across the region, primarily for structural issues but also for fallen timber and flooding.

At the height on Sunday, in excess of 28k electricity consumers in Victoria were lacking electricity.
Meteorological Predictions
Moist weather were forecast to persist along much of the state's eastern regions this next several days as a weather pattern continued to draw in moisture against the coast.
Tuesday was forecast to be the heaviest precipitation period, with persistent storm activity expected across different parts of both regions.
Safety Concern
Medical authorities cautioned that there was an increased chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the countryside regions, particularly given the existing atmospheric conditions.
